If I can give some advice, be aware of the speed limit in the area you do the driving test at. Failed my first time test because I was doing over 25mph and the speed wasn’t posted.

I ran around town today for four hours trying to get a “certified copy of my birth certificate”, which turned into getting a “notarized copy of my birth certificate” which turned into me needing a “complete copy of my birth certificate.” because apparently those are all different things that are required for ten billion...

I have it rounded down to two costumes:
1. My Fem! Dr. Forrester cosplay
2. My Herbert West cosplay
Forrester would be easy because I’d already have everything I need and I could just bring the corset and the skirt, whereas with West I’d have to bring a whole other costume.

I wrestled with some craft foam for about an hour in a vain attempt to make a new holster for my gun for the Fem!Ash Williams costume.

I can’t help but giggle because about this time last year I was engrossed in making Wesley Crusher’s iconic ugly rainbow sweater as the kickoff to my first Dragon*Con.
My kitchen counter was covered in newspaper, a gray turtleneck (bought at Goodwill) and ten big containers of fabric paint.
