Wow that sucks… Hope you’re able to get your funds back. :/
I’m not too worried about getting my money back. Paypal’s usually pretty good about those things. I’m just concerned because it was so much money.
I’ve already factored that money as spent in my monthly budget, so when I get it back I’m just going on an online shopping spree so I don’t have to do any math. XP

Yeah, I’m pretty bummed about it.
It was such a cute dress too! :/

I think that’s what I’ll do, I mean right now I just don’t have the time to be re-build it.
circuitsmaximus replied to your post: I spent $4.50 on stupid cording for my KAG IXL…
Aww! I’m not sure where to find it… I haven’t looked yet though, lol. I was just going to try Jo-Anns. What’s wrong with the one you got?
I got mine at an industrial fabrics store that a family friend owns. She sells everything from upholstery fabrics to high quality curtains and curtains accessories. It’s the wrong color. I got one that was a lighter shade of black that really clashed with my costume. I’m going to go get a darker black rope later this week.

Yeah! I think posting it on Tumblr, the IXL group, and the DC LJ community would be helpful too. Also, there’s someone on Trekspace who was an Andorian last year I could message.
Awesome! I’ll start posting some stuff around, once all the details are worked out I can make a flier and put it up around the internet (and the con) too. :)
circuitsmaximus said: I’m not sure; last year we got herded into the Marriott basement but we could probably break away from the mayhem. Maybe the Sheraton, since it’s way less crowded and that’s where the Trek Track is anyway?
Yeah I think the Sheraton might be a good place to do it. That way it’ll be far enough from the parade that when its over it won’t be as chaotic to get there. Plus there’s Trek Track. Maybe we could make some sort of flyer and post around the Trek Track area on Friday or something too?
I was going to say before the parade might be good, but we'll probably all be scrambling just to get ready that early. Afterwards sometime? Also, your antennae look really good, are they new?
Thanks! Nope, they’re the same ones. They just got a new paint job and some touch up work. I’m replacing the headband soon too.
I agree, after the parade would probably be easier. We could pick a meeting place and just wait until the post-parade crowd has moved on. That way we won’t get too scrambled.
Before the parade is definitely out because I’m staying outside the city and getting there in time for the parade is going to be a time crunch anyway.
Where would be a good meeting place?

so great! what’s your fav part?
Definitely the part when Mordrid is totally charming Samantha Hunt after she accidentally calls the fire department. XP
Followed closely by that scene when Hunt and Mordrid are in the interrogation room and he’s explaining everything.
Then the part when she’s messing around with the amulet when they’re escaping is pretty cool too. :3
